Freight Types:

Full Truckload (FTL)

  • Example: A manufacturer shipping a full load of building materials to a construction site would choose FTL for direct, efficient delivery

Less-Than-Truckload (LTL)

  • Payload:Share trailers with other shipments (5,000-20,000 lbs) for medium-sized freight shipping consolidates smaller shipments from multiple customers into a single truck. Shippers pay for the portion of the trailer space they use.

  • Capacity: 4-10 pallets.

  • Loading: ground Level Or Dock High (Lift Gate)

  • Best Uses:

  • Small shipments that don’t require an entire trailer.
